From forests to rivers

I'm delighted to be with Environment Victoria

For me, rivers are a web of links across the state. Until recently I was a forest campaigner working to protect the remaining old-growth forests here in Victoria. Now, that I’ve got a rivers focus to my days, the patchy mosaic of forests we were working to protect stand in contrast to rivers and waterways that are still largely in existence. The problem is, they need a drink. Desperately.

Climate Action Groups take charge

It’s time to change the world!

Over the last few years, communities across the country have been getting together to help their community understand and take action on climate change, and to call on their political representative to take the lead. What wonderful folk they are!

We thought we’d share some of their trade secrets with you in the hope you too will band your community together in the name of climate action. Because we all know, many hands make light work and together, we can make a real difference on climate change.

What’s your vision for Victoria?

Have your voice heard!

In 2010, both the state and federal governments go to the polls. And what better opportunity to put a little pressure on those pollies and get the policies we need for our environment.
