On Saturday I was in the foothills of the the Great Diving Range, just outside Seymour at Commonground – a fabulous meeting venue for talking about and planning for change.
We were joined by rivers advocates from across the state, who came to hear more about our work to improve the Victorian Water Act so that it actually protects Victoria’s freshwater ecosystems.

I’ve been helping to draw up policies that will help give our rivers a drink. We’ve been talking to all and sundry up on Spring Street about the water crisis facing Victorians, and the messages we’re getting back are varied.

We’re doing our bit on climate change. It’s time to make our government do theirs.
There’s a federal election on its way. Yet both major parties falling way behind the community on climate issues and Victorian voters have reason to feel somewhat abandoned by their leaders.
With so much at stake, it’s time for the community to put real climate action back on the election agenda.
