Now that the CPRS shemozzle has passed it's time to Walk Against Warming

Saturday, 12 December @ 12pm

Parliament House, Canberra, can be a strange place at the best of times. I’ve probably spent about 2 months of my life in the building, meeting with politicians, advisors and bureaucrats, trying to achieve some progress on climate change- the issue that needs a little less conversation and a lot more action.

Filmmakers take note: $5k could be yours!

Calling all creative people interested in a better world and sharing positive messages about climate change solutions... Green Screen: Climate Fix Flicks could be everything you’re looking for.

Organisers are seeking film submissions of between 30 seconds and 5 minutes that effectively communicate positive messages about a zero or low carbon, clean energy future. Green Screen: Climate Fix Flicks is open to everyone and the winning entry receives $5000.

Congratulations

On another massive year

Regardless of what happens over coming years, 2011 will go down as a major turning point in Australia’s action on climate change.

At a community, policy and political level the campaigns and outcomes delivered this year will have a lasting impact.

Our legal challenge has been delayed

But in the meantime we've got a challenge for you

Our legal challenge against the proposed new coal-fired power station HRL has been unexpectedly adjourned until next year due to unforeseen health issues of the tribunal Chairman.

Final evidence has been given, and the hearing will resume on 6 February 2012 for closing submissions from all parties.

Faith communities' sustainability materials

Environment Victoria works with religious organisations around the state. Many are actively encouraging their communities to take green action. Here are some of the publications produced to help different faith communities live sustainably.
