Victoria's leading environment groups have joined forces to develop a strong agenda for environmental action in the 2010 state election.
For decades successive governments have overseen the decline of our environment. The next term of government can and must be a turning point.
From forests to rivers
I'm delighted to be with Environment Victoria
For me, rivers are a web of links across the state. Until recently I was a forest campaigner working to protect the remaining old-growth forests here in Victoria. Now, that I’ve got a rivers focus to my days, the patchy mosaic of forests we were working to protect stand in contrast to rivers and waterways that are still largely in existence. The problem is, they need a drink. Desperately.
