Regional Sustainable Living Program

Together with our friends at the Australian Conservation Foundation, we are working to spread sustainability messages to diverse communities in regional Victoria.

Building on our experience in delivering community-based programs, our program model is to partner with local organisations, working with existing networks and organisations, to deliver free sustainable living programs that suit targeted communities. These programs are designed to build the skills and capacity of local organisations and communities around sustainable living.

We have a range of project models that include a workshop series, field trips, personal challenges, leadership development and ‘train the trainer’. All of the projects focus on key sustainability issues, in particular highlighting issues that impact on the local environment and community. Solutions on how participants can make a difference in their own homes and communities are provided, although they are tailored to the particular requirements of the people we work with. Projects typically run between two and six months, and can be tailored to integrate with existing programs or activities.

The Regional Sustainable Living Program is possible thanks to the funding from the Victorian Department of Sustainability and Environment.
