Turning it around: climate solutions for Victoria
This report was commissioned by Environment Victoria and paid for via generous donations from Environment Victoria supporters.
To have any chance of avoiding the worst impacts of climate change, we are going to need leaders to break the impasse of climate negotiations and embark on an urgent program of emissions reduction. This report shows that Victoria could be that leader, and that the technologies and policies we need to slash our emissions are largely available and understood. While one state won’t stop climate change on its own, by signaling a preparedness to take action Victoria and Australia could help break the deadlock of international climate negotiations and lead us to a safe climate future.
