A Vision for a Water Sensitive City
In April 2009 a group of emerging leaders from the Australian water sector travelled to Europe and Singapore to discover what it takes to create a Water Sensitive City. Our very own Healthy Rivers Campaign Co-Manager Leonie Duncan went along.
The ‘Transition to a Water Sensitive City’ study tour generated a lot of ideas to help us turn the desire for change into action. One of the most important lessons learned was the need to take a risk and to commit to action.
By sharing their vision and knowledge, they hope to inspire the changes needed to make the transition we need to become a water sensitive city. A Vision for a Water Sensistive City.
In fact, Greg Barber (the Greens Member of Parliament) praised the report in the Victorian Parliament:
"I commend this booklet to any members who are thinking about the problems that our city and state are facing. These 15 young future leaders in the water sustainability realm have done an excellent job."
