Faith's time at Gunbower with her Dad provided her many chances to grow as a person and helped her decide the path she wanted to take in life. Faith decided at age 14 that she was sick of swimming with a life jacket on. To prove to her Dad (and herself) that she would be safe in the water without it, she swam for two kilometres downstream beside her Dad's canoe.
