A tiger snake with garters
Story by Ken Hooper, additional photography by David Kleinert
The variety of birds and animals in the flooded GKP forest cemented Ken's love of the place and the duty of care he feels he now owes to the environment. Ken says his retirement project of flood restoration and water management on his degraded lot of Red Gum forest is partly to "repay the debt" he feels he owes the Murray River for supporting his irrigation dairy farm.
